My Stay at The Wallker

My lady friend (dubbed Ms Marian by Staff) and I stayed at The Walker Hotel Greenwich Village from November 1 - 5, 2019,for pleasure shortly after I completed five days of business where I stayed, by myself, at another NYC Hotel. From the minute I was checked in by Ivanna Fernando unitil we checked out it was a blast. We stayed on the top floor where there was a pied- a-terre and balcony. The room was well appointed and comfortable and by New York standards large. The lobby with the large fireplace and comfortable seating served as our "living room" and was a great place for entertaining guests, people watching and enjoying well made cocktails from the adjacent bar. The staff, Marvin from North Carolina, Marie from NYC, the two guys, both named Bates (one from Nashville and the other from Mississippi and the Bronx, plus the young man from Burkina Faso were all friendly and bright young people with great futures ahead of them. The food, breakfast and dinner were exquisite, well presented and delicious. The hotel sent up to our room freshly made "turn-down" cookies nightly. Marie even sent up a bottle of great wine - a delicious red as a token of her appreciation for the wonderful conversation we had the night before. Within walking distance were so many neighborhood restaurants it was almost overwhelming. They were Italian, Japanese, ,Mediterranean, Mexican and so on. Needless to say, we will be back. This place is definitely "The Spot" and I highly recommend it to individuals, couples and/or groups looking for an experience and adventure. My work takes me to major and minor US and Canadian cities and I would put this hotel in my top five. Ted Williams Des Moines, Iow

Great Experience and Awesome Service...

This is second stay at the Walker Hotel. Each time we have had a wonderful experience. The hotel is ideally located to our friends that live in the Village and we can easily walk to their homes and travel all over the city via the subways. Great local restaurants and lots to see and do in the immediate area. We look forward to our next visit and highly recommend the Walker for a wonderful experience and great service

In the middle of everything!

The hotel is very charming from the outside, with the brick interior and flickering gas lights. There is a doorman to open the doors and greet you into the lovely, old-timey interior. The reception desk is located to the right of the stairs, hidden in a corner. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with the check-in, my stay, and local information. The room itself was very nice, with the TV hidden hidden behind some beautiful lacquer sliding panels. The two double beds were very comfortable (well, the one I slept in was). The hanging cabinet in the room had a light that turned on when you opened the door, and there were two umbrellas for customer use. The bathroom was really nice! A large walk-in shower and nice-smelling soaps. The tiles were very classy, and the entire room was very art deco and enjoyable to come back to after a day of work. The complimentary bottles of water and home-baked cookies were a very nice and unexpected touch

Quiet and Quaint

Quaint hotel in the northern side of the Village. It is located out of the hustle and bustle of the City with a healthy mix of residential and commercial establishments. Several subway stations/lines are within a few blocks away, and Murray Bagels is around the corner. The Hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. Room was fine for our needs, and we appreciated the nightly turn down service and cookies. What a treat
